Barium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with chemical formula of Ba (OH) 2. It is a white crystalline powder, soluble in water, ethanol and dilute acid. It is mainly used for making special soap and pesticides, and also for softening hard water, refining beet sugar, boiler descaling, glass lubrication, etc. Solubility: soluble in hot water, less soluble in cold water, slightly soluble in ethanol, and soluble in dilute acid.
