Strontium fluoride is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula of SrF2 and molecular weight of 125.617. White colorless cubic crystalline powder, slightly soluble in water, soluble in hydrochloric acid, insoluble in hydrofluoric acid, ethanol and acetone. It belongs to cubic crystal system, stable in air and can be decomposed by strong acid. Density 4.24g/cm3, melting point 1473 ℃, boiling point 2489 ℃. It is converted into strontium oxide in air (>1000 ℃).
